China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing
To all units concerned:
China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the only legal large scale comprehensive logistics social organization, is established with approval of the State Council and directly administered by the State Economic and Trade Commission(SETC) of the People¡¯s Republic of China. The Federation carries out functions and tasks of materials management and purchasing industry services in China. China already has entered into WTO. For the purpose of meeting the new economic challenge and speeding up the connection of materials management with international industry, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing has decided to recruit new members from all over of China on the basis of liaison, communication, coordination and service, and according to the regulations of <the Constitution of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing> so as making better service for the materials management and purchasing industry in China.
Details of the new membership recruitments are as following:
1. Ranges of new recruitments
All the economic enterprises, institutions, social groups including foreign ventures registered in China, join ventures, materials management and purchasing industry and all other related units and individuals can apply for a membership qualification of CFLP provided those who recognize the Constitution of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, carry out the rights and duties of the membership voluntarily, pay full amount of membership fee and are registered by law in a state commerce and industry administration authority of the People¡¯s Republic of China.
2. Procedures and materials required
(1) Apply voluntarily and fill in ¡° Registration Form of Membership, CFLP¡± in 2 copies with official seal of your institution. Details please refer to Attachment 2;
(2) Submit one copied business license or registration certificate of applicants, (for individual applicants, please submit your own resume and research achievements such as academic writings and papers) and one copy of brief introduction to your institution.
3. Procedures for verification
(1) The procedures for verification of institutional applicants are handled by the Department of Membership, CFLP
(2) After receiving the registration form & relevant materials from applicants, the Department of Membership would make assessment in no time and report in batches to the Secretary General of CFLP for approval at office meetings and gets agreement from Executive Council members through correspondence, so the qualification of the membership is officially confirmed.
(3) After approval of the membership by the higher leadership of CFLP, the Department of Membership will inform the applicant of the approval and send ¡°Membership Bill¡± at the same time, so new member will pay annual membership fee RMB 2,000.00 and RMB1,000.00 in one lump sum for registration(including the costs of certificate and plate) to the designated bank account no. of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. ( those who want to apply for the Council membership or the Executive Council membership should make additional application and submit additional relevant materials, also handled by the Department of Membership)
(4) After the money arrived at the account no, the Department of Membership will send by post formal invoice within 7 days and ¡°Membership Certificate¡± as well as the specially made membership plate;
(5) Those who have remitted the annual membership fee to the designated bank account no can enjoy all kinds of rights and services provided by CFLP. Details please refer to Attachment 1.

All membership units of CFLP can get the Federation bulletin ¡° China Logistics and Purchasing¡± (China national first class economic semimonthly magazine¡±, ¡°Membership Newsletter¡±, ¡° Reference Documents of CFLP¡± and all other internal information plus enjoy the following services from CFLP:
1. To transmit reasonable desires and proper requirements of membership to the governmental departments, safeguard the legal rights of the memberships;
2. To collect opinions about the industrial development plan, industrial policy, industrial standard making, and economic legislation from most majority of the memberships, make report to the Government and organize partial members to participate in decision making and meeting sessions;
3. To participate in organization and implementation of professional investigation, market analysis, exploitation of domestic & international market information resources, establishment of information collection and feedback system; provide member companies (institutions) in good time with general market information and market development of the same industry in foreign countries; inform member companies (institutions) of information about economic theory of circulation and modern logistics, e-commerce, government purchasing; introduce new achievements and hold meetings on development of various industries, academic seminars and extension of experience.
4. To actively promote enterprises¡¯ reform and development among member units, greatly promote applications of various new type marketing such as e-commerce, logistics distribution, government purchasing, chain business management, and agency system among all member units, improve scientific contents of industrial management and operation, give assistance to member units for constructing central competitive capabilities;
5. To help governmental departments to strengthen professional legal system, establish just, fair and open market economic order, accept accreditation to coordinate the economic and legal relationship between enterprises of the same industry, and provide member institutions with legal consulting service;
6. To accept member units¡¯ accreditation to assistant member units to build up public relations with governmental departments, national economic research institutions and other relevant units;
7. To organize national and regional special industry development meetings, develop various types of experience exchanges and business negotiations regularly and irregularly, organize member units to exchange experiences on business operation, management, reform and development recommend member units to take part in selection activities of advanced models at trust of or agreed by governmental departments.
8. To accept member units¡¯ accreditation to organize logistics and technical equipment specialists to make deep investigations, accept planned projects, help enterprises make continuous development plan strategy;
9. To recommend member units to participate in professional technique judgments and various kinds of standard quality control system, accept qualification standard certification ISO9000;
10. To organize member units to develop various exchanges with foreign economic organizations including visits, personnel training, commercial negations etc, promote cooperation and exchanges of member units on academic research, science& technology, circulation management and trading;
