The container freight rate from countries such as Hong Kong and China to Europe dropped by nearly 70 percent in the last year, the Hindu Business Line reported.
India to Europe saw a drop of nearly 30 percent in the last year.
While this is good news for exporters, shipping lines are badly affected, according to industry sources.
